Our hand selected Fiji Premium Live rock is the highest grade of Fiji rock available in the US. We hand select each piece from our holding systems for the most unique large pieces available. We are able to provide some of the nicest fresh live rock available across the country as we receive it daily in our holding facilities.

FOUND cheaper live rock? That is because that rock has not only come over on boat, but it has also been sitting in a box for weeks at a time. Most companies do not even bother to put the rock in fresh holding containers when the rock arrives. So you are paying for dry old rock. Not only is our rock fresh but it is unique. You will find unique shapes, colors and large sizes upwards of 20" with our hand picked rock selections. You may pay a bit more for our rock but you are receiving only the finest product available.

Our recommendation for live rock is 1 3/4 to 2 pounds per gallon. Which in most cases will create an amazing aquacape for your reef or fish tank. Many enthusiasts choose to alter the shapes of the rocks using a chisel or drill bit, this is completely acceptable. This will not damage the integrity of the rock nor any beneficial organisms. After a few months this wonderful live rock will become covered in beautiful coralline algae.

Hand Picked Fiji Rock is for the discerning hobbiest who desires the best rock available and most pieces are shelf like or branching similar to marshall island type styles. Do not be fooled by cheap rock sold all over the internet, they only sell boulders which are hard to aquascape. All of Salty Supply live rock has great shapes and formations even our standard 50lb boxes. The difference with hand picked is we give you only the best.

It is strongly recommended to cure the live rock upon arrival. We offer Free Ground shipping on all live rock which is maximum transit time of 5 days. The rock will have die off and is not recommended to be placed directly into an existing aquarium, although a new setup the rock can be cured in new saltwater to create the cycle.

All rock is shipped via Fedex Ground and most transit times are less than 3 days but can run upwards of 5.

metal halide lamps in stock. These Aquastar lamps
are substantially improved versions of their popular
Aqua Connect metal halide lamps producing even
better coloration and intensity.

 

The lighting engineers over at Neuco Germany
developed the Aquastar lamp to simulate a more
near-nature light spectrum resulting in brilliant color
reproduction, enhance coral growth and long-term
color stability. The Aquastar 14500K contains very
high percentage of a refined blue spectrum to bring
out the fluorescent pigments in corals and to better
simulate the natural light conditions over a coral reef.
This new soon to be popular German lamp provides
substantial improvements over other bulbs found in
the 12-14k class. Will be available in 250w SE and
DE Bases as well as a 400w SE (mogul) base. They
will fire on any electronic ballast.

Keeping the neck wall clean results in consistent skimmer performance and little to no down time.  This device uses twin squeegees to automatically remove the buildup from a skimmer neck. The SRO (ANC) consists of a high torque low RPM motor, wiper mount, lid with mounting clamps and the squeegees.

To operate this easy to you device,  you simply plug the unit into a timer (not included) or aquarium controller and set it to run for a few minutes 4 to 6 times per day.  By running it this way you will never experience crud build up along the walls of you skimmers neck.  This will  eliminate the daily chore of cleaning for two or more weeks while maintaining the level of skimmate production that you would normally get with only a freshly-washed collection cup.
