I used this in our showroom for about 4-5 months and I must say it performed really well for a 200+ gallon holding tank. Pulled a full cup of skimmate about every 3-4 days.

Super Reef XP-2000 - Blasting Bubbles in the skimmer market.

These new great skimmers are expected to be shipping late this month. They have also received a few interesting changes. First being noted that its not going to be the plain gray or black, coralvue decided to go with white on the new XP-2000 Cone skimmer(we also have been told red may be an option in the future). Also you will note the gate valve rather than a wedge pipe. This link is the most up to date picture we have received and is believed to be the final model.

They are already a big seller on pre-orders and they haven't hit the market yet. This just shows the good reputation Octopus skimmers hold these days. Hitting the shelves at only $499 this is a great way to get into a less expensive cone skimmer that will perform like the big dogs.
